I have been an Alexis customer for over twenty years. I've always been a fan of their mixture of professionalism, first-class diagnostic equipment and reasonable prices (esp. considering their prime locations and long opening hours). This past week, Alexis's staff surpassed themselves. I returned from an overseas trip with a screw missing in my frames. I asked if they could replace the screw. It turned out that the screw had broken, leaving two pieces in the holes. The staff tried to drill out the stubs and succeeded in one case. Rather than give up (and force me to buy new frames), the staffer said he had a finer drill offsite. He offered to try to drill out the remaining screw bits and then bring the frames back to the Orchard store.

I just received word that their efforts succeeded, and my glasses are repaired and ready for collection. When I asked what I owed, the staff replied that there was no charge as I'd bought the frames and lenses from them. That's great customer service, and it prompted me to leave this review.
