About This Store
Eighteen Chefs is a social enterprise founded in 2007 by Chef Benny Se Teo in Singapore. The restaurant aims to help ex-convicts and troubled youths reintegrate into society by providing them with employment opportunities. Despite facing setbacks, Chef Benny has successfully established over 12 restaurants in Singapore. Eighteen Chefs has received recognition through various awards, including the RAS Epicurean Star Award in 2015 and the President's Challenge Social Enterprise of the Year Award in 2012. Chef Benny, who has a personal understanding of the challenges faced by ex-convicts, hopes that working at Eighteen Chefs will assist in their recovery and enable them to develop culinary skills for a better future. One of the highlights of the menu is the Cheese-Baked Rice, which combines a thick layer of cheese with flavorful rice. Patrons also have the option to customize their baked rice from a variety of sauces, main ingredients, and toppings. Customers looking for affordable western cuisine can visit the Eighteen Chefs location at Bugis Junction.

Reviews - What People Think About This Shop
Based on the customer reviews, the overall customer experience of the place seems to be mixed. Some customers are satisfied with the food, mentioning that the Angus burger is good with a juicy patty and fresh lettuce, and the food is hot and tasty. However, there are also complaints about the service, with some customers mentioning slow service and missing items in their orders.

The portion sizes also receive criticism, with one customer describing them as "pathetic" and another mentioning that the baked rice portion was disappointing. The restaurant seems to cater to a younger crowd and students, with attractive student meal options. Noise levels can be high when the restaurant is full.

The ordering and payment process, however, receive positive feedback for being straightforward and efficient.
