"Was invited to Kate Spade event at MBS as a VIP on Sat 26 Oct 2024. Donned their dark denim jeans to support the event only to have its dark blue dye transferred to my brand new Chanel white sneakers. After a week, Kate Spade only offered to cover cleaning costs - which is of not much remedy as my sneakers was made of fine calf skin and suede plus it’s white and costs S$1800 - it’s most challenging if not impossible to reinstate it to its prestine condition.
To add insult to injury their regional lead stated in her email that such colour transfer is a known characteristic of dark denim. She seems to suggest that it’s acceptable for their dark denim to stain other personal effects and it’s our own demise to choose to wear it and allow the color transfer?This ‘known characteristic’ wasn’t conveyed to me when I purchased it. So folks pls be warned and be wary of inferior goods from so called esteemed brand like Kate Spade, horrific attitude and horrific customer service!" - Review By Li****** -
