Sakon Thai is a restaurant that offers Authentic Thai Foods, with slight modifications to cater to local preferences. The menu combines flavors from the original Sakon Town in Northeast Thailand and the Gau Yuak Temple in Chiang Mai. The founder, who has a close relationship with the temple, was inspired by the delicious dishes prepared by the locals for the temple visitors. This led him to open the first Sakon Thai in Serangoon North in 2008, bringing these unique flavors to Singapore. Popular dishes at Sakon Thai include the Fried Fish Red & Green Sauce and the Sambal fried kanggong.
