Sandbar creates matching swimwear for the whole family with a goal of removing 1 million kilograms of plastic from the oceans. Each purchase of Sandbar Swimwear supports the removal of 1 kilogram of ocean plastic from coastlines in South East Asia, regardless of profit. The swimwear is made from recycled plastic bottles, with each garment using approximately 5-8 bottles and helping to prevent new plastics from being made. By using Repreve, a recycled fiber, Sandbar is able to avoid the production of new fibers and plastics, reducing the use of petroleum and greenhouse gas emissions. Their mission is to provide a platform for people to make sustainable lifestyle choices and contribute to a healthier environment for future generations.
