Based on the customer reviews, the chocolate bun from this chain was not as good as expected. The Swiss roll with peanut coating was decent. The mini four flavors bread was soft and tasty, but the machi and whole bread were a bit too sweet for one customer.
The Pandan soya milk chiffon melted in their mouth and was fragrant. The coffee Swiss roll was sold out and replaced with a different flavor that was very sweet. The buns from Swee Heng 1989, especially the ones with mochi, were soft and chewy.
The Mochi bread was on the softer side and could be "gooey" for some people, but the flavors were good. The coconut buns had generous filling and were a good guilty pleasure. Overall, the flavors of the food were delicious.
